Worked example 1
Texas requires a vehicle to display:
- Only a rear plate
- Two license plates — one in the front and one in the rear of the vehicle (with limited exceptions for some motorcycles, trailers, and certain vehicles) Correct
- Three plates
- No plates if registration is current
Why: Texas-registered vehicles must display front and rear plates. Motorcycles and certain vehicles are exempt from the front-plate requirement.
